Civil engineering is one of the fundamental and traditional engineering streams. Building houses and towers, dams on rivers, canals, river and sea bridges are some of the prime civil engineering careers. Designing, constructing and maintaining are the different work profiles involved in this field.
Civil engineering is not limited to development of construction methods and techniques. In real-time projects, estimating cost of a project is one of the crucial tasks. For this, a civil engineer must be aware of theories/principles of other related fields such as accounting, statistics, economics and so on.
Civil engineering graduates can work on any of the above mentioned specialized areas, based upon their interests. Following is a sample civil engineering graduate resume.

Academic Project:“Soil pH Variation under pollution”. This academic project was intended to check variation in pH value of soil due to continuous exposure to polluting elements. Most of the huge construction’s bases are built by considering the current status of the soil. However, if the critical factors of the soil, such as the pH, are changed adherently, it may greatly affect the stability of the whole construction. With this theme in mind, I determined the tolerable soil pollution levels around a particular construction.
